Club Penguin Non-Member Glitch

Hello penguins! Recently I noticed when my membership expired that I still had on my member clothes. Usually Club Penguin would remove your clothes because they can only be worn when being a member, but when mine expired mine were still on.

Notice that I do not have a badge and that there is a non-member star instead. Did Club Penguin do this on purpose or is this just a weird glitch? What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
